Getting Customers to Sing

Our ‘Customers unfiltered’ video installation for E.ON was a 24 screen interactive art installation designed to engage an internal audience with genuine customer feedback. Video portraits would be activated via sensors & the customers would tell the viewer their thoughts on their energy world. The film here shows the ‘Attractor’ which happened every hour, syncing the Portraits into a choir singing ‘Shout’. 

At the end of 2016 we were commissioned to produce a brand film for ‘Principal’ hotels to coincide with their launch. Weaving a story through the 3 main locations; Edinburgh,York & Manchester.

We looked to mix opulence/grand spaces with a romantic story full of elegance.

Technically we used new devices for movement including Ronin and a drone, with a very old methodology for the landscape shots building sets with miniatures.

The History of TV

Commissioned by the Guardian, we produced the ‘The evolution of television in 2 minutes’ for Virgin ‘Tivo’ with a combination of archive and drawn animation scenes.

EXAMPLES

Nissan

GUTSY were commissioned to produce rich video content from all over Europe to support the online campaign for the 100% electric Nissan Leaf called The Big Turn On.

This involved shooting a competition involving 10 bloggers from 4 different countries; France, Germany, Holland & the UK. The bloggers were pitched against each other to win a Nissan LEAF, test driving the car in a unique set of challenges that brought to life the advantages of electric driving.

GUTSY delivered over 50 films in 4 countries in 2 months. This included celebrity content with Alesha Dixon, Marcus Brigstocke & Wayne Hemingway amongst others.

STROKE 360VR

Stroke 360 VR Case study.

In 2015, we continued on from our award winning 'This is Stroke' 360VR with a 2nd film using a documentary approach. This film describes the process between us, the Agency & Spherevision, the VR team.

We were looking to take advantage of the immersive nature of a 360 film to make the audience understand the confusion, emotional turmoil & life changing implications of a stroke. Using 360 we are able to put people in the place that gives them not just a better sense of it, but gives them more empathy and a deeper emotional connection to a single experience.

DIGITAS

Or ‘the history of communications in the life time of a 30 year old in 2010’. This project was all about understanding Generation Y, the guys who grew up with the internet & mobile technology boom. We chose a collage treatment to pull together our own shoots & archive material drawn over in post.

CLIENTS

Nissan

As part of a series of films for the 100% electric Nissan Leaf, this is one example from over 50 films produced across Europe during the 3 month production period. With this film we needed to find a way to describe the cost of running an electric car in a way that would relate to our audience. A taxi that only charges for the electricity used gave us some great moments.

Primarily used as a recruitment film, we documented a non-stop day in the life of the restaurant group from sourcing  fish at Billingsgate to the Soho night life.

Heidi balances running her new Scandinavian outdoor clothing shop, Astrid's Adventures, a fledgling online store with orders from around the world, and taking care of her three children.

Mercedes Benz

FIRST is a ground breaking six minute cinematic film produced by GUTSY to announce Mercedes-Benz World at Brooklands to the public. Playing in the cinema at Mercedes-Benz World, it gives every single visitor a high energy introduction to the incredible history of Mercedes-Benz, starting with the creation of the World’s first motorcar. Mercedes has never before brought so many of its classic cars together for one shoot. Shot in Stuttgart & post produced in London.
